Can Caesarstone be repolished?

We do not promise factory repolishing of existing engineered stone. Sanding changes its original sheen, which can leave a visible patch.

Protecting the work area around a proposed tap position

First identify the product and mark

Caesarstone includes different product ranges. Supply the colour and range if known, and explain whether the problem followed heat, chemicals or abrasion. A residue, stain and damaged surface do not all need the same treatment.

Understand the finish trade-off

Removing a mark by taking away surface material may exchange discolouration for a sheen difference. A small glossy or dull patch can be more noticeable in side lighting. Discuss this before accepting any sanding proposal.

Consider the whole section

For suitable surface treatment, full-section gloss protection film may be proposed to make the horizontal surface more consistent. Film and preparation are separate scope items. An uncovered waterfall or neighbouring section may still reflect differently.

An example of the finish decision

If a burn mark on an island can only be reduced by surface removal, the next question is how the treated section will look as a whole. A colour improvement in the centre may leave a dull patch. Covering the horizontal section with suitable gloss film may help consistency, but an adjoining uncovered waterfall can still show a different reflection.

What to ask before authorising work

Ask which mark is being treated, what material will be removed, what appearance may remain and whether film is included in the price. Specify the exact section boundaries. If the proposed finish does not meet your expectation, discuss replacement before committing to a treatment that cannot simply recreate the factory surface.
