Position before drilling
Send the fitting model and required hole diameter. Photograph the proposed position from above and the underside of the benchtop. A tap can look well placed from above but clash with the sink bowl, cabinet rail, fixing washer or plumbing beneath.
The edge and existing openings matter
We review the available stone around the proposed hole, nearby cutouts and any damage. Do not mark the final position by eye alone. A larger hole cannot simply be moved back later, and a plugged opening is not the same as uninterrupted stone.
Scope and pricing
Tap-hole drilling starts from $450 + GST. Material, access and the condition of the stone are confirmed in the quote. Plumbing connection and removal of old fittings are separate unless included in writing. New holes in ceramic basins are not presented as a stone repair service.
Prepare the cabinet

How do I get a repair quote?
Send one full-benchtop photo, close-ups of the damage, your suburb and the material name if known. Include a ruler beside the damage and tell us about any previous repair.
Will the repair be invisible?
Results depend on material, colour, damage and lighting. Colour matching aims to reduce the visual impact. Cracks and porcelain repairs remain visible; no repair is promised to be invisible.
