Start with the sink template
Send the installation drawing for the proposed top-mounted sink, the existing opening dimensions and a photo with the current sink in place. Bowl size, outside rim size and required cutout size are different measurements. The new rim must cover the complete opening.
Onsite cutouts are for top-mounted sinks only
We do not cut and finish new undermount or flushmount openings onsite. A top-mounted sink covers the cut edge with its rim. If your design requires an exposed, polished undermount edge, discuss workshop fabrication or replacement benchtop options before choosing a sink. Re-fitting an existing dropped undermount sink is a separate repair service.
Look inside the cupboard
Cabinet walls, rails, drawers, waste pipes and sink clips can prevent a new bowl from fitting. Photograph the space from below. Tell us about existing cracks or repairs around the sink and whether the benchtop has a joint nearby.
Plan the cutting and connection separately
We quote the stone modification. A licensed electrician, gas fitter or plumber handles disconnection and reconnection as required. Tell us which trades are already arranged so the work can be scheduled in the right order. Appliance supply and connections are separate unless included in writing.
What to send for a quote
Send a full view of the benchtop, close-ups of the proposed opening, a view inside the cupboard and your suburb. Include the material name if known and the manufacturer’s installation drawing. Tell us about cracks, previous repairs, stairs and restricted access. We confirm the scope and price before you book.
Opening details

Small reference images show the type of opening. Your dimensions and installation drawing guide the work.
Questions, answered.
Can you cut a new undermount sink opening onsite?
No. Our onsite sink cutouts are for top-mounted sinks only. We cannot cut and finish a new exposed undermount or flushmount edge onsite. Re-fitting a suitable existing dropped undermount sink is a separate service.
Can you make my sink opening larger?
A suitable opening for a top-mounted sink may be enlarged after checking the template, rim coverage, remaining stone and cabinet support. We confirm suitability before cutting.
Can a smaller sink fit the existing hole?
Cutting only removes stone. A smaller sink may not cover the existing opening; a different sink, design change or replacement stone may be needed.
Is this the same as repairing a dropped sink?
No. A dropped undermount sink normally needs its fixing and support assessed. Our undermount sink repair service covers re-fitting your existing sink; a new cutout is a separate scope.
Which areas do you cover?
We are Sydney based and assess regional NSW enquiries by address. Melbourne and Queensland work is coordinated through scheduled visits. Send your suburb so we can confirm availability and any travel costs.
