Recognise the limits
A long structural crack, unsupported stone, substantial missing material or an unsuitable previous alteration may make repair a poor investment. Filling a removed sink opening rarely provides the same result as a continuous new surface.
Match the project to the goal
A small cosmetic improvement, a restored kitchen and a completely different layout are different briefs. Explain your desired outcome and budget before choosing a repair. If replacing one section, consider how the new material will sit beside the remaining benchtop.
Cabinets and fittings
Replacement planning includes cabinet condition, removal, plumbing and electrical coordination, appliance sizes, access and disposal. A quote should identify the material, edge, cutouts, installation and any excluded trades.
The Stone family
StoneCountertops.com.au handles supply and installation planning. StoneRepair remains the point of contact for assessing existing damage. This helps keep a repair enquiry from becoming a replacement proposal unless the condition or your plans justify it.
Questions, answered.
How do I get a repair quote?
Send one full-benchtop photo, close-ups of the damage, your suburb and the material name if known. Include a ruler beside the damage and tell us about any previous repair.
Will the repair be invisible?
Results depend on material, colour, damage and lighting. Colour matching aims to reduce the visual impact. Cracks and porcelain repairs remain visible; no repair is promised to be invisible.
