Get the handover details
Ask when to use the sink, wipe the area and replace appliances. Share the instructions with other occupants and cleaners. If the property is being handed back to a tenant or guest, include the repair care in that handover.
Protect the vulnerable edge
Avoid repeated impact from cookware, dishwasher doors and heavy items. Address any fitting that continues to contact the repaired area. A repair does not make a thin or exposed edge immune to new damage.
Use compatible cleaning
Follow the material and repair-product guidance and avoid abrasive pads or unapproved solvents. If the appearance changes or a joint opens again, photograph it and ask for advice before applying another product.
Correct the cause where possible
If cookware repeatedly hits a narrow sink edge, change how heavy items are placed. If a dishwasher or drawer contacts the stone, arrange the appropriate adjustment. If a joint failed because of movement, ask about that issue separately. Normal precautions help, but care advice cannot substitute for resolving an installation problem.
If something looks different later
Take clear dry photos in the same lighting and note when the change appeared. State any cleaner or product used since the repair. Send the information to the team before trying another compound. The material and repair history will guide whether further attention or a different recommendation is appropriate.
Questions, answered.
What is the next step?
Send photos, your suburb and the relevant material or fitting details. The team will clarify the proposed work, its limitations and the quote before an appointment is agreed.
