Scope and preparation
The existing appliance needs to be disconnected and removed before the cutting visit. Arrange the follow-on installer after a cutting time is agreed. Empty the nearby drawers and cupboards and keep the working area clear; an occupied kitchen still needs to be prepared for the stone work. Discussing your appointment

Adding a tap or water-system opening A new tap, soap dispenser or filtered-water fixture needs an agreed position that works above and below the stone. We can discuss a standard tap-hole enquiry without first requiring a full kitchen drawing. Keep the plumbing and equipment installation separate from the hole-cutting scope, and let us know about an existing join or damage near the proposed location.

Tap-hole pricing is confirmed before booking. Small damage versus a changing surface finish A minor chip repair has a $450 + GST minimum call-out ($495 including GST). Colour matching aims to blend the repair with the existing stone, with visibility depending on the pattern, texture and damage. A burn, dull patch or widespread scratching needs a different assessment. For engineered-stone restoration, sanding can change the factory sheen, so photos and section measurements are needed before a final price.
