Clear the area
Remove dishes, small appliances, stools and loose objects from the agreed work zone. Make the cupboard below available if requested. Keep children and pets away while work is underway and during the advised curing period.
Confirm building access
Share gates, parking, stairs, lift bookings and contractor restrictions before the day. Nominate a person who can provide entry and authorise the agreed work. A delivery bay reservation is useful only once the appointment is confirmed.
Plan the handover
Ask when the surface can be used, washed and loaded. Different products have different cure instructions. Arrange any other trades in the agreed order and do not assume a repaired sink edge means plumbing work is included.
Before confirming the day
Check who will be home, who can approve any discussed variation and whether another trade is needed first. For shared buildings, establish the booking process before reserving a lift. If the stone or damage changes after the quote, send an updated photo. The appointment should be based on the current condition rather than an old image that no longer represents the work.
After the technician finishes
Keep the care instructions somewhere the household or managing agent can find them. Do not replace heavy appliances, wash around the repair or let cleaners use the area before the advised time. If the job forms part of a renovation, tell the next trade where the repair is so it is not used as a temporary tool shelf.
Questions, answered.
What is the next step?
Send photos, your suburb and the relevant material or fitting details. The team will clarify the proposed work, its limitations and the quote before an appointment is agreed.
