Why we publish our stone repair prices

We’re not afraid to show our prices. We believe in our work—and we believe you should understand what you’re paying for.

Confidence in our work. Clarity in our prices.

You should not have to guess the starting cost of a standard stone repair. We publish our prices so you can plan a budget, understand the service and decide whether to request a quote. The price is backed by an explanation of the proposed work, including its practical limits. Our focus is careful workmanship and a result agreed with you before booking.

Experience is part of the value

Repairing stone involves more than choosing a similar colour. The edge profile, pattern, texture, finish and surrounding installation affect the proposed result. Our approach brings qualified trade skills and practical repair experience to those decisions. We consider the damaged area in context and explain when a local repair is suitable, when support needs attention and when replacement is the better option.

Proper materials chosen for the job

We use professional repair systems selected for the stone, damage and intended application. Preparation, adhesion, working characteristics and cure requirements matter alongside the colour. A material suitable for one surface is not a universal answer for marble, granite, engineered stone and porcelain. Our quotation should explain the relevant scope and outcome rather than relying on a low headline price.

Preparation and finishing are part of the repair

The care behind a repair includes the stages you may not notice in the final photograph: considering previous filler, preparing the suitable area and respecting the repair system’s requirements. Shaping the profile and checking texture and reflection also take attention. We do not cut corners on the agreed preparation and finish just because the damaged patch is small.

Found a cheaper quote? Compare what is included.

A cheaper quote may have a different scope, method, amount of preparation or operating cost. Price alone does not establish the experience or quality of another repairer. Ask what material will be used, how the area will be prepared, which damage is included and what finish is expected. If a proposal relies on a surface touch-up where a rebuild is needed, or leaves out preparation or aftercare, those differences matter to the comparison.

Clear expectations are part of good workmanship

Proper materials and experience do not make every repair invisible. Cracks and porcelain repairs remain visible, and pattern, translucency and lighting can reveal other repairs. Sanding engineered stone does not restore its factory sheen. We explain those limits so you can choose a repair on the actual proposal rather than an unrealistic promise.

The quote should tell you the whole story

Look for the included damage, preparation, repair method, expected appearance, access and total price. Additional chips, support, film, cabinet alterations and appliance-related trades should not be assumed included unless stated. Send us your photos and suburb, and we will confirm the proposed scope and price. We aim to make the decision clear from the beginning.

Questions, answered.

Do you claim to be the cheapest stone repairer?

Our pricing reflects the agreed preparation, suitable materials and careful workmanship. Compare the complete scope and expected result, not only the lowest number.

Does a cheaper quote mean the repairer is inexperienced?

No. You cannot establish experience or material quality from price alone. Ask for the proposed method, relevant work examples and a clear explanation of the result.

Will StoneRepair match a lower quote?

No automatic price-match offer is made. Share the damage and requested scope so we can confirm our own proposal and explain what is included.
