Start with the damage, then the material
Missing edge material, a line through stone and a dull surface patch are different concerns. Identify the material if known, but do not delay an enquiry simply because the product name is uncertain. A whole-benchtop photograph and clear close-ups help show the damage in context. Include the dimensions, suburb and earlier treatments so the proposed scope can be based on the actual condition.
Local repair versus broader work
A suitable chip may be locally rebuilt; an open installation joint may need preparation and refill. A long crack, loose section or badly aligned waterfall can justify a replacement recommendation. Surface marks need their own material-specific assessment. The option table below gives a starting point, not a diagnosis or a promise that every damaged surface is repairable.
Compare complete proposals
A useful quotation identifies the included damage, preparation, expected appearance, price and access. Support, cabinet work, film and appliance-related trades should not be assumed included. Ask what practical difference may remain after the work. A headline price does not show whether two proposals address the same damage or include the same stages.
Send the information that changes the decision
Include full-surface and close-up pictures, a ruler beside each damaged area and any material paperwork. Explain movement, previous repairs, film or coatings and what result matters to you. Appointment availability is confirmed for the address. Start with the relevant service below or contact the team when several different concerns need to be considered together.

What should I send for a quote?
